Oh, man, I should not have watched the end of Mysterious Cities of Gold and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End on the same day. Not because they weren't both MADE OF PURE AWESOME but because ...



... in my head, after the movie ends Jack Sparrow goes to look for the Fountain of Youth in South America, where it traditionally lies. When he gets there, he finds it guarded by a Spanish sailor who got there it a few centuries earlier. (Because you know Mendoza got bored with being rich in Barcelona in about, oh, six months at the outside. Naturally he had to find something else to do.) This leads to flirting sword fights.

It's a Golden Condor, but yes, that's the one *g*. I am continually surprised by how many people remember and love the show, although given its quality I really shouldn't be.
