When he gets there, he finds it guarded by a Spanish sailor who got there it a few centuries earlier. (Because you know Mendoza got bored with being rich in Barcelona in about, oh, six months at the outside. Naturally he had to find something else to do.) This leads toflirting sword fights.

It's a Golden Condor, but yes, that's the one *g*. I am continually surprised by how many people remember and love the show, although given its quality I really shouldn't be.
