The remains of my fifth and final Assignment Day pizza [1] are in the fridge, and everyone should have the correct Multiverse assignment in their inbox now.

I was a bit worried about everyone matching up this year, and with only twenty-nine participants it was more of a challenge to make all the pieces fit, but everyone should have something they can write.

[1] On the day all the assignments are made, the mod eats pizza. It's a tradition for which [livejournal.com profile] iamsab is entirely to blame.

I'm looking at mine going, "Eep! Well, I did say I could write that fandom, didn't I?" But that's pretty usual for me. :)

Thanks again for tackling this puppy. Hope the pizza was good!

I echo pretty much all the above. Especially the second paragraph, of course. :)

It's going to be a different sort of challenge for me this year, so it'll be interesting to see what I end up with. I'm kind of hoping not to get bogged down with another epic, but they do have a habit of just sort of... happening, at least for this ficathon. For some reason. :)

Oh! Hang on! An interesting idea just hit me.

Heh. OK. That sounds fun. I think I'll be doing that. :)

Yay!

One of the great things about Multiverse is how many awesome character combinations it generates, most of them featuring characters I'd never think of putting in a room together. Certainly the people I'm going to be writing would never have introduced themselves to each other in my brain without any prompting. :)

Hates you. :)

My normal modus operandi is:

1. Look at assignment for a couple of days without a glimmer of an idea coming.
2. Think: well I've got 3 months. I'll look at it again later, when I'll hopefully feel more creative.
3. Organiser puts out reminder to everyone: you have one week left.
4. Panic.
5. With any luck the panic sets the creative juices flowing and I get a useable idea at the 11th hour.
6. Frantic writing.
7. Some kind person does some very helpful betaing.
8. Story submitted with a few hours to spare.

I think that's a very common pattern, actually. :)
