The remains of my fifth and final Assignment Day pizza [1] are in the fridge, and everyone should have the correct Multiverse assignment in their inbox now.
I was a bit worried about everyone matching up this year, and with only twenty-nine participants it was more of a challenge to make all the pieces fit, but everyone should have something they can write.

iamsab is entirely to blame.

Date: 2008-03-23 03:04 am (UTC)Yeah, I seem to recall you having that reaction in previous years. Now I expect you to go forth and produce an epic *g*.

Hey, it's my pleasure, especially when it provides a good excuse for pizza. And yes, it was good - I must order from that place more often in future. Mmmmm, anchovies ...

Date: 2008-03-23 03:26 am (UTC)One of the advantages of being the mod is that you have the discretion to grab an assignment that spawned a plot bunny the moment you laid eyes on it. Two favourite characters of mine who I'd never have thought of putting in a room together are going to have an interesting Multiverse ...

Date: 2008-03-23 03:31 am (UTC)One of the great things about Multiverse is how many awesome character combinations it generates, most of them featuring characters I'd never think of putting in a room together. Certainly the people I'm going to be writing would never have introduced themselves to each other in my brain without any prompting. :)

Date: 2008-03-23 04:29 pm (UTC)My normal modus operandi is:
1. Look at assignment for a couple of days without a glimmer of an idea coming.
2. Think: well I've got 3 months. I'll look at it again later, when I'll hopefully feel more creative.
3. Organiser puts out reminder to everyone: you have one week left.
4. Panic.
5. With any luck the panic sets the creative juices flowing and I get a useable idea at the 11th hour.
6. Frantic writing.
7. Some kind person does some very helpful betaing.
8. Story submitted with a few hours to spare.

Date: 2008-03-23 03:07 am (UTC)I'm glad you like it! It's nice when I can send out assignments that I think the writers will enjoy doing.

Date: 2008-03-25 04:28 am (UTC)If I wasn't already doing the Remix AND Sweet Charity I'd totally hae done Multiverse this year. If you're tired of modding I could possibly take over for you next year? I'd hate to see our awesome tradition die out...
