andraste: The reason half the internet imagines me as Patrick Stewart. (Crais)
Rating: PG

Author's Notes: Continuing my project of clearing stuff off my hard drive, here's something I posted in bits way back in 2005 and never got around to cleaning up. If you've already read it, there's no new material here, just fewer typos *g*.

Summary: Five things that never happened to Bialar Crais.

Read on. )

Yesterday's readers my be relieved to learn that this ends on an up note *g*.

Once I've cleaned up all the segments and got them in order, would someone like to beta this for me? I don't anticipate major structural alterations, so it shouldn't need too much attention.

In an Unrealized Reality far, far away ... )
andraste: The reason half the internet imagines me as Patrick Stewart. (Crais)
No fluff here today - this one is rather grim. The first three installments of this story are here, here and here.

This AU breaks off from Farscape canon late in Season One. You'll work it out.

I did say it was grim, didn't I? )
andraste: The reason half the internet imagines me as Patrick Stewart. (Harvey)
I seem to recall saying, over the years, that the title of this story is partly ironic. Today, the evidence, with the third installment. The first two are here and here.

Not as upbeat as the first two, to say the least ... )
andraste: Livia = Awesome (Livia)
I probably should have spent this evening answering e-mail instead of writing this, but I thought people might prefer fic to comment responses *g*. It's been a while since I posted much, after all. This is the second installment of my Crais five things story. For anyone who missed it, the first bit is here.

This is the AU where the crew of Moya had a working brain cell between them at the end of Season One *g*.

I've been promising this story to people for years now, and since watching Farscape all night (or, rather, listening to Farscape while doing Multiverse Things) put me in the mood to write fic, I've decided to finally post it instead of talking about it *g*.

Anyway, five things that never happened to Bialar Crais, part the first. This one breaks off from canon during Family Ties, although the story is set at least a few cycles after that.

Of course the perfect time to post this is when many of the 'Scapers I know are at Dragon*Con ... )

I have no idea if it's before midnight wherever our esteemed moderator is, but I think I made the deadline. This was written for [livejournal.com profile] mirakate, who requested Crais finding some kind of peace or solace with Teeg. I feel as if I should apologise for it being so short, but what can I say? It wanted to be a vignette.

Oh, and I think I'm officially declaring everything Flora ever wrote about Crais and Teeg fanon *g*. )

I'm survived a visit from [livejournal.com profile] threewalls, [livejournal.com profile] lynndyre, [livejournal.com profile] hammerxsword, [livejournal.com profile] yasminm and [livejournal.com profile] lokisrose alive, although marginally *g*. Remind me not to stay up until 2:30 in the morning again any time soon. There was lots of anime, disturbing manga, good food and much squeeing. Also, I learned a lot - although not quite enough - about how to put subtitles on .avi files. Naturally I also inflicted JMS products one everyone, and babbled about tentacle pr0n.

It occurred to me while rewatching the first half of Crusade with everyone that I should write up just one idea that I had about the series in fic form. The DVDs are coming out in the US on December 7th and I hear a rumour that some plot details that never appeared on screen will be revealed on them. I don't want to get 'Zynskied in a fandom that ceased production years ago, before I can even post the story *g*.

This has spoilers for all of Crusade, and won't make much sense if you haven't seen the show anyway.

Just a small ficlet ... )

The Fic of Doom was kicking my arse, so I decided I needed to take a break and finish something else. Maybe a couple of things. Hence, fic!

Disclaimer: Crais and Aeryn do not belong to me, but to Henson and various other companies. I make no money out of writing about them.

Rating: PG-13.

Author's Note: Sponsored by Flora as part of [livejournal.com profile] fan_the_vote. She wanted Crais/Aeryn, I provided *g*.

Continuity: Alternative universe breaking off from ... well, you'll work it out. Clarification at the end.

I finally got them to shag! After the fade to black, but still. )

Stark/Zhaan in essence and flashback, half the pairing having suffered a slight case of death at the moment when this is set *g*.

Disclaimer: I do not own Stark and Zhaan, and make no money out of writing about them.

Rating: PG, I suppose.

Continuity: Set just after The Ugly Truth, before certain events occured.

Author's Note: Sponsored by Astro Girl. I don't think it's worth $20, but it might be worth $5 *g*.

It's short, but hopefully satisfactory )

Rating: Well, there's nudity, although this being prose you can't really see anything *g*. Call it PG.

Continuity: Set some time after Green-Eyed Monster.

Author's Note: This was written for [livejournal.com profile] sathinks, who wanted Talyn and John. Without [livejournal.com profile] sabine101 this would have been much later and probably worse as well.

This is almost a companion story to my Remix fic, which I must post here. And elsewhere.

Well, I almost got it in on time at least ... )

Disclaimer: I do not own Farscape, the Peacekeepers, or Larell. Everything else here is mine, but I make no money out of any of it.

Rating: PG-13 for a some reference to adult themes, I guess.

Author's Note: Written for the X-Files title challenge on Farscape Friday. It means 'by hand' in Latin, and the episode in question was one of those dealing with alien impregnation. It seemed appropriate.

I actually started this for the 'where are they now?' challenge. Glad I finally finished it. )

I was looking at this week's topic for [livejournal.com profile] farscapefriday (which is blowin' stuff up and kissin' - bless Ben Browder) and thinking that people needed to write more Scorpius/Sikzou (thank you, [livejournal.com profile] astrogirl2, for your drabble) and, well, here we are *g*. I'm not entirely monofannish in B5, or not so much that I've forgotten my other loves.

Caveat lector, however – I came up with this yesterday, and Anzac Day always makes me morbid. In a strangely light-hearted way, in this instance.

AU of Terra Firma. No higher than PG. I should maybe point out that I haven't seen the last three episodes of the series yet, although I'm spoiled enough for Sikozu's big secret that I hint about it here.

Fanfiction cliches are fun ... )

For [livejournal.com profile] farscapefriday this week we had a Seven Deadly Sins challenge. I actually thought about doing all seven for Zhaan (I can think of a scenario for each case) but I try not to repeat tricks I felt I got right the first time. IMHO, Contrary is easily one of my best Farscape fics. I'd hate to do another version that didn't work as well.

So envy will have to do for now ... )

I was trying to answer the challenge on [livejournal.com profile] farscapefriday when Braca cornered me and started ranting about how he hates having sex with Grayza. I've been vaguely planning to do this one for a while, but I so wanted to write something else today. Odd that all my analysis energy is being diverted to B5, but I'm still on a FS fic kick.

Summary: All Braca wants is a decent night's sleep.

Disclaimer: Braca isn't mine - he belongs to some evil organisations. And I'm not just talking about the PKs. I'm not making any money from this story.

Rating: PG-13, probably. Sex mentioned but none actually had.

Continuity: Missing scene from Terra Firma, or 4.13 if you prefer ep numbers. Will not make much sense to the non-Farscape fans, although you're welcome to try.

At least Grayza is good for causing Braca angst ... )

I seem to be steadily working my way through the FS cast by means of drabbles (and the occasional songfic). People who know Sparky better than I (such as [livejournal.com profile] selenak and [livejournal.com profile] leadensky) may feel free to critique my portrayal.

For the weapons challenge ... )

You know, I can understand why it is that writers sometimes get hooked on alcohol and more illicit substances: there are stories that you just can't write when your brain is functioning normally. I've been trying to get this down for months, but it wasn't until my brain was given over entirely to converting my page to css (which is done now - I just have to fix the front page, a task for which I have no enthusiasm at the moment) that it all went click.

Summary: Harvey plays records.

Author's Note: This story is about Harvey's love for John, which was rather explicitly present in canon during the time when this is set. I'd call it slash, but your mileage may vary. This is all Shrift's fault, for persuading me that any idea becomes a good idea if you just add Harvey.

Continuity: Between Season Three and Season Four, but spoils through to 4.5, Promises.

If you're not a Farscape fan ... trying to explain Harvey to non-Farscape fans has been known to cause head implosion. And to be honest, this is a bit weird even for a Harvey story.

But we love Harvey. Yes, we do. )

Summary: The many contrary virtues of Scorpius.

Rating: PG-13, I suppose. The drabbles herein cover gen, het and slash, but none of them are explicit. If any discussion of Scorpius's sex life squicks you horribly, though, I'd bail now.

Continuity: This requires knowledge through to episode 4.15 (Mental As Anything) to make the maximum amount of sense, although it only spoils through to 4.5 (Promises). Anyone who hasn't seen any of Season Four will likely be somewhat confused. If you haven't seen Farscape at all, it's probably gibberish *g*.

Author's Note: Apparently, some time, somewhere, Nestra issued a seven sins/seven virtues drabble challenge. I discovered the idea via a great Harry Potter fic by [livejournal.com profile] musesfool. I have no idea if this actually fulfils the challenge or if everyone was invited to play but ... the story demanded to be written. The section titles are the seven contrary virtues, those which counteract the seven deadly sins.

Finally, this is another of the request fics. It's for [livejournal.com profile] alara_r who said 'write Scorpius'. And maybe [livejournal.com profile] faile02 who wanted Farscape of any variety.

Scorpius really is a virtuous guy. Except for that whole wrath thing. )

I've been trying to write a longer Crais POV story set during ITTLD for ages, but I've also been determined to write a Crais drabble that is a drabble. He tends to get verbose as well as angst-ridden when I write him.

And I found that this particular scene worked quite well in such a compact form, at least once I cut out the part where she was running her fingers through his hair. Because the world does not need more stories with women running their fingers through Crais's hair.

(No, I don't really believe that. Wouldn't be much of a fangirl if I did. But I have discipline.)

I've never seen the movie, but the title seemed to work.

If you haven't seen the episodes, this won't make much sense ... )

You know I've come to the conclusion that it's impossible to write a Crais story that's both happy and believable, without going wildly AU. Because even if you postulate that he might have been happy at some point in canon (albeit not when we could see him) the fic would be tinged with melancholy created by the audience's superior knowledge.

This makes me terribly sad, but it doesn't stop me getting annoyed when he mopes around in my head. Would it kill him to smile every now and then?

My journal says I'm 57% masculine.
What does your LJ writing style say about your gender?
LJ Gender Tool by [livejournal.com profile] hutta

Acutually, what this probably tells us is 'Andraste is an academic, and sounds like one.' Although, hopefully the last 5,000 words of my journal also included that fic from Avon's POV and this indicates that he sounded sufficiently Avonesque.

Also, I finally managed to produce another [livejournal.com profile] farscapefriday drabble. About Jool, of all people, who I hadn't felt the urge to write before. I swear, Farscape is the only fandom of mine where I think I'll end up writing all of the regular characters eventually. Except maybe John.

Exactly 100 words, too ... )
