In order to find Brother Genitivi, Wulfric had to brave Denerim even though he was a bit worried about being recognised and killed. It turned out to be a big muddy village by his standards, but then, he was not expecting great things from human architecture at this point. (Ostagar aside. Wulfric definitely respects Tevinter stonemasons.) Luckily, he was able to convince Ser Landry that they'd never met, and none of the other humans and elves who knew who he was seemed inclined to report to Loghain. Well, maybe that one group in the Pearl would have, but the were easy to kill, so never mind. He gave Sergeant Kylon a wide berth just in case but struck up lucrative working relationships with both the bartender at the Gnawed Noble and Slim Coudry. He talked to Ignacio but declined to work with him after being told that he was unable to call off the other Crows. So now he knows someone called Taliesin is looking for him and Zevran, albeit not who Taliesin is.
While they were in town, he took Alistair to see his half-sister. Which was ... certainly a thing that happened. (Man, this quest bothers me so much ever since the identity of Alistair's real birth mother was confirmed. Did Goldana really have a dead half-brother who was Maric's son? Was the baby actually somebody else's? Did he ever exist at all? Apparently we'll never know and it will annoy me for the rest of time.)
The big news of the day, though: Wuflric's loyal second is not dead! He made it to the surface and ... got married? And became a merchant? And brought Wulfric a letter from his father who is dead now and also the Aeducan shield???
This encounter gave Wulfric a lot to think about. He was happy that Gorim was happy, albeit confused that he was able to settle into a life of selling fine dwarven crafts so easily. Which got him thinking about whether he could actually be happy on the surface as well. On the one hand, he misses home terribly, but on the other, he always wanted power and more control over his own life, and in some ways he has more of both as a Grey Warden than he did as an Aeducan prince. Then there was the letter from his father, which prompted even more complicated feelings. He'd grown up feeling that he had to compete with both Trian and Bhelen for his father's attention and affection, so the knowledge that he'd won in the end even though he actually did kill Trian was bittersweet. For the first time he felt bad about that whole kinslaying thing.
It seemed appropriate to headcanon that all that expensive Tier 7 DLC equipment had been given to Gorim along with the Aeducan shield, so Wulfric promptly sold the Reaper's Cudgel and went on a bit of a shopping spree at the Wonders of Thedas. He's never selling the Aeducan shield, though. (The nice thing about the crossbow mod I'm using is that he actually has enough strength to carry it around.)
Oh, and while he was in town he went and talked to Weylon. He seemed like a nice young man, although Wulfric was kind of annoyed that he had to walk all the way back across Ferelden to find Genitivi ...
