The Secret World: Reaping the Whirlwind

andrasteI can't believe that after almost three years, Act One is finally done. I've been playing since the final beta weekend, and it was really something to walk my girl out onto that balcony. All the way to Tokyo and the top of the tower.
I found the gameplay in this issue rather frustrating, as I ran into some problems that forced me to repeat a bunch of difficult content. It was all completely worth it, though, because we finally got our wings! Mine are golden and glorious and I love them <3.
I could have done with a clearer explanation of some things - who are the rabbit killers working for, and why do they want to kill us now? It can't be 'Samuel' or she wouldn't have cut him off in the middle of his supervillain speech. It can't be Lilith - why would she throw away valuable assassins against a single bee? Are they Morninglight assassins? If so, why did they let us go before and try to kill us only when we got to the top of the tower?
I would also have liked a clear explanation of what the Filth is. I mean, OK, we know it's the manifestation of some weird, old things that are stuck in the Dreaming Prisons, but what do the Dreamers want? Why did they destroy the world in the Third Age? Are they trying to do it again? Maybe their motivations will be clarified later, but we were told that this is the end of the Filth storyline. I assume we're going to turn out attention to the Morninglight next. Although given that it turned out we were ultimately working to defeat Lilith, not the Filth, I guess there's room for a rematch.
On the whole, it was a satisfying journey. And it certainly was something to find out that the Orochi Corporation has a very good reason for letting their employees die left and right. Not to mention that it's run by the literal devil. I wonder if Act Three will be us going after Samael, although even calling in the Nephilim doesn't seem like it would save us there ...
