This is the most depressing election campaign ever. It's 4:30am on election day, and I still don't know what I'm going to do when I get into the booth. I don't want anyone to win. It's awful.

However, if I was voting based solely on advertising campaigns, it would be the Australian Sex Party all the way:

I don't like how they're distributing their preferences, but I'll be putting their candidates high up on my Senate ballot.

You guys have way cooler political parties than we do.

Partly because we have so many of them! Our Senate uses a proportional representation system and preferential voting, so minor parties or independent candidates get elected all the time. Alas, this also means we have a lot of small parties much less cool than the Sex Party :(. (Don't google 'Rise Up Australia' 'One Nation' or 'Family First' unless you enjoy learning about horrible political movements from foreign lands.)

Well, we've no shortage of lunatic fringe over here, either. (I'm pretty sure there's an American "Family First" party too, though I'm not googling to confirm.) But somehow we never seem to get the correspondingly fringe-but-cool groups like your Sex Party, or the Pirate Party, or even the Monster Raving Loony Party. Or if we do, I never get the memo. ;-P
