andraste: Reflections. (G'Kar and Londo)
[personal profile] andraste
For [personal profile] selenak because this got far too long to be a comment.

who cooks normally?

Vir.

Oh, you mean it has to be one of them? G'Kar, obviously. Because I cannot imagine Londo has ever had reason to learn, and he could probably burn water. G'Kar, on the other hand, seems to like cooking. I think Londo would really prefer it if Vir did it, given what Narn food is like.

how often do they fight?

Ahahaha. I think a better question would be 'how many conversation do they manage to have that aren't fights?' And they wouldn't have it any other way.

what do they do when they’re away from each other?

Well, Londo becomes Emperor and is miserable for a couple of decades. G'Kar roams the universe and is happy but has to appear in Legend of the Rangers. Clearly they are better off together.

nicknames for each other?

Is 'idiot' a nickname?

I think that 'Mollari' does actually count as an affectionate nickname when G'Kar says it, by the end of the series. I never cease to be charmed by the fact that in Season Five he calls Londo 'Londo' when he's talking about him to other people, but to his face it will always be Mollari.

who is more likely to pay for dinner?

In Season One, they probably each do their best to stick the other with the bar tab at the Dark Star. By Season Five, Londo is Prime Minister and G'Kar is a bodyguard who has no compunction about making his enemies pay for his dinner. And his breakfast. And snacks.

what would they get each other for gifts?

They mainly like to go with grand gestures, like: Refa's bloody corpse, freedom for Narn, an apology, forgiveness and death.

I suspect Londo would actually love to be giving G'Kar less dramatic tokens of affection in Season Five, but refrains because he thinks it would get awkward.

who remembers things?

What kinds of things? If we mean 'birthdays and anniversaries,' both of them, although they wouldn't actually admit to it. If we mean 'where Londo put his keys' then they stand there and argue about it until Vir shows up and finds them.

who cusses more?

I am sure they could both come up with long strings of culturally appropriate curses given the occasion. I do not think there is likely to be a victor here.

what would they do if the other one was hurt?

Well, that depends on when it happens. Before the middle of Season Two, they'd find it entertaining. After the middle of Season Two through to the end of Season Three - if Londo is hurt, G'Kar is likely to have done it, and if G'Kar is hurt then Londo wouldn't be sorry. After that, though: Londo is silently horrified by what Cartagia does to G'Kar, and then G'Kar waits all night in the infirmary when Londo has his heart attack.

... and now I want to see how Londo would have reacted if G'Kar had actually gotten hurt while bodyguarding him. Hmmmm.

who kissed who first?

I imagine G'Kar claims it was Londo and Londo claims it was G'Kar. So they kissed each other, basically.

who made the first move?'

Well, that depends on how you count. On the one hand, G'Kar buys Londo a drink in The Coming of Shadows. But on the other hand, it's Londo who asks G'Kar to work with him to kill Refa and Cartagia, and Londo again who returns the drink and wants G'Kar to like him.

who started the relationship?

Destiny?

who uses all the hot water in the morning?

Londo. But for a change G'Kar doesn't care. Narns don't sweat and probably aren't big fans of baths. It's everyone else on the station who has a problem with it.

what they order from take out:

Any attempt by these two to order food is likely to lead to an hour-long argument. They may or may not end up with a meal at the end of it.

what is the most trivial thing they fight over?

We are talking about two men who, canonically, spent an entire episode fighting over a flower. (A flower of great religious significance. But still.) What I'm saying is, there is no subject too small.

what was their first kiss like?

An argument taken to its logical conclusion. I imagine there was a wall involved.

where were they their first time having sex?

Londo's quarters seems likely. If only because Londo would never agree to sex on G'Kar's bed. (It is a rock. Londo Mollari is not having sex on a rock.)

who’s louder?

In bed, or in general? Either way, they are both pretty loud. But I am going to give the victory to Londo here, since G'Kar can be silent if he wants to.

who wakes up first?

G'Kar. And then Londo, because G'Kar pokes him in the ribs.

if they had to choose a third+ person to include who would it be?

That Centauri lady they borrowed a dress from seemed to think there was a hot threesome in the offing, and G'Kar certainly didn't mind. They could go find her again and, uh, return the dress. For something more permanant - had circumstances been different, G'Kar/Londo/Timov would have been entertaining.

their general feelings on sex in the relationship?

They are both surprised by how much fun they have. And they are not admitting that to anyone.

how careful are they about using protection?

Not careful at all. I mean, if the Centauri ever invented barrier contraception at all it's likely to be in the form of female condoms. Who even knows what Narns use? And I just cannot imagine these two bothering to worry about how to have safer tentacle sex with each other.

Luckily for them, this decision is not likely to come back and bite them much, since they're from two different ecosystems. While one might be able to host bacteria that could harm the other, I think we have to assume that the future has the whole antibiotic thing solved from the way people aren't dropping dead from alien infections left, right and centre. There is just no way they could give each other viruses - it would be like a turtle catching something from an elm tree. Or like trying to open your grandmother's china cabinet with your electronic car key.

(This throws me out of Confessions and Lamentations every time, although it is a great episode. Everyone is far too worried about the virus mutating and spreading to other species. This is relatively rare and difficult between creatures that come from the same planet! For creatures from different ones, it's just not a realistic concern. I still think something else killed that Pak'ma'ra.)

I could argue that Londo and G'Kar probably use protection anyway without even thinking about it, given that they're both canonically frequent users of sex workers...

I am still not reading your journal here remotely often enough, but having just popped by again, I wanted to register my opinion that this is a post of hilarious awesomeness. :)
