Doctor Who: P.S.

Doctor Who is now the only thing to ever make me cry with nothing but a storyboard and a voiceover. (I am going to miss Athur Darville so, so much.) The alien that has supplanted Chris Chibnall seems to be sticking around.

For anyone who hasn't seen it, there's an unfilmed epilogue to Angels Take Manhattan here.



I can see why they didn't put it at the end of the episode - it has to be Amy that finishes the story - but I am adopting this as canon. (Of course, I am one of those people who think the Sky Ray Ice Lollies are canon. And I'm not even sure what a Sky Ray Ice Lolly is.) It provides some nice closure for Brian as a character, and I'm over the moon that the Ponds eventually adopted. I can see how not being able to have biological children is something it would take them a while to accept, but it's wonderful to know that they did get to be parents.

And I hope that some day, in a year or ten years or a hundred, the Doctor runs into a man from New York who knows all about him because all his bed-time stories involved a madman with a box.
