andrasteFirst of all, thank you for volunteering to write for me! All the fandoms I asked for are pretty non-existant, so I will be delighted to see anything at all written for me.
Things I do not like include character bashing, non-con that is pretending not to be non-con, and sexualized mentor/student relationships. Also, I have no idea how it would even come up, but I find bad things happening to animals deeply upsetting. I would rather there were nothing of that sort in your story.
Apart from those few things, I am easy to please! I'm happy with gen, het, slash or something that defies fandom genre conventions altogether. (I also like OT3s, for the record.) Plot is great, but so is two characters sitting in a room talking to each other. I like h/c, happy endings or sad endings are fine. I love all of these characters, and it's not as though the universe is brimming with fic about any of them. Just having a story will make me happy. I've made a few suggestions below in case you're stuck, but feel free to ignore them entirely if you already have a concept.
(Can I just stress again that I like gen, het and slash? Equally? I will not be disappointed with any of them in any combination.)
Titan Maximum: Jodi Yanarella, Sasha Caylo.
Details: I'd love any interaction between Sasha and Jodi, whether they're bickering, having an uncharacteristic bonding moment or punching aliens in the crotch. Gen and femslash are both fine with me. (And I will hardly be surprised if there is het involved somewhere, given Sasha's tendency to leap on anything with a penis that happens to be going past.)
If you've matched with me on one of the other fandoms and are experiencing Yuletide remorse, this would be a very quick fandom to catch up with. It's recently become available on DVD and is hilarious provided you grew up watching Lion Force Voltron and are the kind of person who laughs at Robot Chicken.
Anyway, assuming this is your fandom ... I mean what I say, I just want Jodi and Sasha interacting somehow. If you need more a prompt than that, how about how they (failed to) hit it off back when Titan Force Five was first formed? Or Jodi getting dragged out to a club because Sasha decides she needs to loosen up? Or the two of them repeatedly punching Gibbs in the face? (I actually love Gibbs, too, but if anyone deserves a thorough face-punching it's him.)
The Mysterious Cities of Gold: Mendoza, Esteban, Tao, Zia.
Details: I'd love to see interaction between Mendoza and any or all of the children, during or after the series. Bonus points for including the Golden Condor somewhere.
I'm probably looking for gen here, since I really do not want Mendoza paired with any of the kids even if the story is set a decade after the show ends or something. However, I would certainly not be adverse to romance between some combination of Esteban, Zia and Tao especially if you do decide to write futurefic. If you want a prompt: we get to see quite a bit of how Esteban's opinion of Mendoza evolves through the series, but not so much the other two children. Or tell me about what everyone is doing ten years after the show finishes: did Mendoza go back to Spain with a big pile of treasure, or was the lure of the New World too strong after all that shark-fighting, lost peoples and flying around in ancient solar-powered planes? Speaking of which, The Golden Condor was my FAVOURITE THING EVA as a kid, so I mean it about the bonus points.
G.I. Joe (Marvel Comics): Scarlet, Snake-Eyes, Storm Shadow
Details: I adore these three characters and think the various relationships they have in the eighties comics are fascinating. Any two of the three will satisfy me. I'm up for gen, OT3, Scarlet/Snake-Eyes or Snake-Eyes/Storm Shadow or, hell, Scarlet/Storm Shadow if that floats your boat.
Back in the early nineties, Larry Hama's G.I. Joe was the first American comic I read regularly and Sclarlet was my first female action figure. (She was the Ninja Force version, and she was terrible, but I was so happy to have here I didn't even care.) I have 'shipped Scarlet/Snake-Eyes since I was, like, twelve and Snake-Eyes/Storm Shadow since before I knew what slash was, and did I mention already that I like OT3s? This does not mean you have to write a threesome for me or even a story with all three characters in it, but do keep in mind that I love all of them. And while Scarlet/Snake-Eyes is part of the canon and fairly unavoidable if they're both in the story, if you want to write Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow being platonic BFFs that is also awesome. If you'd like a prompt: ninja action for the win! Or skip the ninja action and write something else. Snake-Eyes and Storm Shadow back when they were in Vietnam? What Scarlet and Snake-Eyes get up to once they retire? Did Snake-Eyes ever tell either of the other two anything more about his family? Oh, and I forgot to put it in my request, but I'm also very fond of Timber, so bonus points for including him. (Uh, if the story is set while he's around. I mean, obviously he was not in Vietnam with Snake-Eyes.)
Iron Man Armoured Adventures: Gene Khan
Details: I find what Armoured Adventures has done with the Mandarin intriguing - he's the last character I thought would benefit from a teenage reboot, and yet it works surprisingly well. Anything you want to write about him is fine.
When I stumbled across Iron Man: Armoured Adventures one day, I did not expect to keep watching it, and I certainly didn't expect to do so largely because of the Mandarin. Let's be honest here: the comicverse version is a yellow peril cliché. That doesn't mean no-one has ever done anything interesting with him, but it does mean that those who have tried face a bit of an up-hill battle. The cartoon version has a lot less of that baggage, and making him a teenager actually adds a lot of depth to the character. If you need a prompt: Gene hanging out with Tony, Pepper and/or Rhodey before the end of Season One. Gene's relationship with any members of his family he hasn't thrown in a pit yet. Or tell me about what he's doing and how he's feeling post-cliffhanger. If you want to make the story Tony/Gene or Pepper/Gene that's fine, and I'm equally cool with gen.
