I am now all caught up with the most recent two episodes of The Middleman, w00t!
Kevin Sorbo guest starred in last week's installment and was really good. I did not think I would ever used the words 'Kevin Sorbo' and 'really good' in the same sentence. My world view is all askew! Possibly The Middleman is so awesome that it makes everything in it better .
My only issue at this point is that I'm not as sold on the Middleman/Lacey relationship as the show seems to expect me to be. That they're attracted to each other and cute together, sure, I can buy that. But true love? They've had about three proper conversations and watched the first few minutes of a Western together. That doesn't seem like enough time for true love!
Why, yes, I do have more a harder time suspending disbelief over love at first sight than over trout zombies and vampiric puppets. This is why I read comics all the time but not much genre romance *g*.
The relationship I do adore is the one between the Middleman and Wendy. I go 'awwwwwwwwwww' every time they bond, and was a puddle of goo during the hug from The Obsolescent Cryogenic Meltdown. I'm not against 'shipping the two of them, but I am very fond of the quasi-sibling bond they've developed on screen.
"I think of you as a brother, and in return you should feel comfortable speaking to me as if I were one of your woman friends."
Oh, MM. You really don't talk to other humans much.
