Spooks 5.05

Waaaah! I want Ruth back already! She's been one of my favourite spooks ever since she had that fight with her desk lamp way back in 2.01, and my love has only grown. Sure, I miss Tessa and Zoe and Danny and Fiona and Colin - and Tom, even, although not his love life - but I will miss Ruth most of all :(. Also, Harry does not know what he will do without her and neither do I.

They are so in love! She went down for a murder she didn't commit to protect him, and if given the opportunity he would have done the same for her. I think her reasoning was more sound, though - Harry can't throw away his career for a woman he loves, not if every other senior agent in the services insists on being Evol.

The big farewell was lightened a tiny bit by Ruth telling him to adopt her cats. I can just imagine how well they will not get on with the Jack Russell terrier, especially since Harry does not particularly strike me as a cat person.
