Spoils Of War

My parents were in town this weekend to go shopping, and I had a very successful time at the winter sales. This is just as well, since both my best coat and a much-beloved jumper of mine (that's a sweater for those of you on the other side of the Pacific ...) had developed holes in the last week. I got a fabulous coat at 50% off and also a wrap-around cardigan thing I'd had my eye on for a while. Only 20% off the cardigan, but still a display of canny shopping on my part.

The real bargains, though, were the two Fayreform bras for $20 each. As a 12E, I have never in my life been able to buy a bra for $20!!! Incidentally, I urge any woman who's a C-cup or above to check out Fayreform bras. They make attractive, comfortable, supportive bras for women with larger cup sizes.

After taking care of the girly clothes shopping, I headed for K-Mart where I heard the 'exclusive' Walmart Robot Heroes Decepticon Sneak Attack set had been sighted. Sure enough, I managed to come away the proud owner of Skywarp and Cliffjumper as well as 'Supermetal' Optimus Prime and Megatron and 'Hologram' Mirage.

And here I remember you saying something not long ago about how you weren't buying any more action figures, because you were out of places to put them....

(Although I guess you could categorise RH as figurines, perhaps?)

But they are so cute tiny! They barely take up any room on my desk at work! Of course, since I seem to be buying an entire army of them space may eventually prove a problem ...

He is SHINY AND ADORKABLE. I have not yet freed him from his glorious plastic prison; I think I'm going to wait until I can buy Thundercracker on Thursday so he will have company.

(I forgot to mention, but I also saw all the Wave 2 Robot Heroes in Toys 'R Us the other day. I just couldn't afford to buy them right then! But soon Jazz/Thundercracker/Ultra Magnus/Bumblebee/Soundwave/Unicron will be mine!)

Skywarp!? My goodness, when was the last time they issued anything with him in it!? He's like the forgotten one of the trio...but not to an adoring fan such as me!

I did get a little set from Walmart yesterday with chibi versions of Mirage and Starscream. I couldn't find the Optimus Prime and Ravage set. I mean, chibi Ravage is just SO CUTE!! It's torturing me knowing its out there and I haven't gotten my paws on it yet!
