Sometimes, one finds oneself in a situation where one has to work out exactly which monsters are the funniest in Doctor Who history. And in a situation such as this, one turns to one's friends list.

[Poll #961303]

I can't believe I ran out of space before I got to the Bandril ambassador and the Kandyman!

One thing that makes me slightly sad about New Who is that when the special effects start to look shaky because times have moved on (and they will) they will only look like outdated CGI. Generally speaking the series having a budget now is a very good thing, but it means a lack of truly rubbish aliens.

The Kandyman isn't really a rubbish monster, though. It's profound. :)

The "Invasion of the Dinosaurs" dinosaurs became particularly excellent after their "Je T'aime" music video.

There was a widely-distributed collection of fanvids about ten years ago (before internet distribution), which included one vid of, like, jsut all the times Tom Baker said "what?" (which was astonishingly hilarious), and lots of Pet Shop Boys, and some audio-only teasers of dialog edited into very risque Doctor/companion exchanges, and one of the best was the dinosaurs choreographed to the Serge Gainsbourg/Jane Birkin track "Je T'aime". :)
