(Sometimes fic happens when you start writing something to passive-aggressively protest a stupid tagging decision on AO3, only it takes you forever to finish because the protagonist keeps getting ~feelings~ all over what was meant to be a PWP, and then you add knifeplay so the angst might at least be interesting, and then the AO3 fixes its stupid tagging but you decide you might as well finish the story anyway.
