Look Who Arrived!
Apr. 2nd, 2018 09:52 pmHooray, eBay brought me T'Challa!

I had to resort to the internet, because he was sold out everywhere locally. Which is great because I'm delighted that Black Panther merchandise is selling and also irritating because I had to pay postage. However, the base price was reasonable and this was a good excuse to buy another figure.

I actually already had the old ToyBiz Marvel Legends Doctor Strange, but that figure is more cape than man, and its nice having his new costume which I like a lot.
I just wish he had swappable hands like T'Challa, although given that he doesn't I'm glad they went with magic hands instead of regular ones.
Speaking of which:

Not a bad likeness, although the 12" figure is better. (Which is hardly surprising.)
I grow ever closer to assembling all my Marvel favourites:

Really just missing Storm and Magneto (who are getting new Legends figures soon!) and a better version of Beast than the one I have. Annoyingly, the Astonishing Version was a Walmart exclusive and is thus impossible to find in Australia and not that easy even on eBay.
Meanwhile, I am trying to work out if the above characters would make the best or worst Defenders team ever. On the one hand: plenty of raw power and a wide array of useful skills. On the other: Jessica would not want to be anywhere near Charles and Charles would not want to be anywhere near Marc and honestly Marc should just not be allowed to join teams anyway and Charles and Stephen and T'Challa would eventually fight over who was in charge. (Meanwhile Jennifer and Kamala would get along fine and solve whatever the actual problem was.)

I agree that T'Challa would fight with Charles and Stephen, but he gets along very well with women, so he'd be Team Jennifer and Kamala and they'd all get it sorted out.
Good point - and honestly, there are not many entities in the Marvel universe that can stand up to the combined might of Black Panther, Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk. (If it's astral in nature, they can probably get Stephen and Charles to team up long enough to beat it up.)
