Multiverse 2011 Open For Prompts!

Multiverse 2011 is now open for prompt submissions on the Archive of our Own!

The ficathon is running rather later than usual this year since I was keen to wait for the prompt-based challenge code to go up at the archive. Things are running pretty much the way they have the past few years, only I won't need to maintain a prompt list (yay! even less work!) and you'll need an AO3 account to submit, claim and post. If you don't have one, please let me know and I'll sort something out. You have until July 31st to submit prompts, and may submit up to ten.

Please keep in mind that this is the alpha version of the code, and you may run into bugs that should be reported through the AO3.

(It would be great if some of you regular Multiverse fans could go throw a few prompts on there or claim some of the ones I put up - I can only see what the challenge creator sees and there might be things that aren't showing up right for other people. I think you have to be logged in to see the available prompts.)

Yay for Multiverse, but you have a mistake in the Q & A. "How long do I have to submit prompts?" says "Until July 3rd", which...

Even better, it said until July 3st, which gives you an idea of what the typo was meant to say *g*. Thank you for catching that!

Do we have to sign up to submit prompts? I don't know if I'll be able to write. I mean, hopefully, but I need to sort out my other commitments first, but I would be happy to throw some prompts in there.

Not at all! Feel free to throw some prompts up; there's no commitment to writing anything. (And I have altered the FAQ to reflect that, as it was confusing.)

Not your problem, but there are some weird bugs with how the prompt table is appearing. Beta testing is fun :) I've submitted my comments to AO3 and I feel sure they'll be fixed soonish.

I'll try and come up with some prompts later, when I'm more awake. Hey...due to that job falling through, I may have enough time to write a fic!!! ::clings to Multiverse::

Yeah, I noticed that too. If there's not something in a column, the contents of the next one seem to be moving to the left. Thanks for saving me the trouble of reporting it to the archive.

Hooray for writing fic!

I suspect that some of the more interesting Multiverse prompts have actually been thought up by sleep-deprived individuals, but waiting until you feel awake is probably not a bad idea *g*.

Thanks! Just thinking up these prompts is immense fun. (Although I think most of the ones I put in were recycled from last year.)
