So after much agonizing back and forth, I finally managed to settle on just six things to nominate for Yuletide. In alphabetical order:

Batman: The Brave and the Bold

Because there can never be too many characters listed for this wacky, wonderful fandom! Imagine, if you will, the sixties Batman series only with an infinite budget and access to all the inhabitants of the DC universe, including all the ones that have been invented since then like Jaime Reyes and Booster Gold. I don't think I have a request in mind, but even though it was already on the nominations list I had to make doubly sure it got in.

Dead Gorgeous

Completely charming British-Australian co-produced children's series about three sisters who died in the nineteenth century, only to find themselves resurrected as 'living ghosts' in the twenty-first. Constantly demonstrates that sisterhood is powerful, especially when you can walk through walls. I doubt anyone else in fandom has even heard of this, but Yuletide is all about trying to find that one other person on the planet who loves the source you love.

GI Joe (Marvel Comics)

Hooray, it is getting un-merged! The form would not let me enter it as just (comics) so I thought it might be a good idea to specify that I want the Marvel series, not the Devil's Due issues or the IDW reboot or the Dark Horse mini or ... (GI Joe fandom: more complicated than you thought.)

The Question

Eighties comic by Denny O'Neil starring my favourite DC character. I'm so glad that the whole thing is now out in trades and I have been able to catch up on it only twenty years later. It's great stuff and I would love to see some fic based on it.

Titan Maximum

Speaking of the eighties, if you grew up watching Lion Force Voltron and are the kind of person who laughs at Robot Chicken, this might be the show for you. Titan Maximum will transform into a giant robot and punch the fuck out their enemies, assuming they can ever stop bickering long enough.

Tripod versus the Dragon

After [identity profile] jedi-penguin.livejournal.com mentioned nominating the Tripod song The Hotdog Man in the brainstorming post, I a) got it stuck in my head for the whole day and b) started thinking about all the other Tripod things that would make great fanfic. Did that guy ever win the Rock Eisteddfod? Did the lonesome/gregarious cowboy disappear, or was it just a metaphor? Did Gatesy ever work out where a woman's ghost ship was? Ultimately, though, my love of tabletop roleplaying won out. Maybe someone will tell me how they dealt with that dead orc and if Scod's fighter ever cross-classed as a bard ...

There were a bunch of other fandoms I was interested in that were already on the nominated list with all the characters I might be interested in, so I haven't even really narrowed down my nominations that much. Still, the flailing is always part of the fun.
