I just sent off a long e-mail bothering the moderators about getting two different versions of the same source separated into different categories. I am sure they have more important things to worry about!

And yet, I do not want it to go like last year, when I nominated G.I. Joe comics and it ended up getting merged with G.I. Joe cartoons and I could not make my request. I made a sad face. I like both versions but they are very much not the same thing. The three characters I want to ask for do not interact in any meaningful way the animated series, whereas in the comics they are dating/blood brothers/enemies. (Scarlett/Snake-Eyes/Storm Shadow OT3 4EVA!) If the two do not get un-merged, I will just go nominate something else or plan to ask for different characters, but at least I will know ahead of time.

It did get me thinking about what it would be like if comicverse Snake-Eyes visited the animated universe ...

Snake-Eyes, signing frantically: Storm Shadow, you have to help me! I can't find Timber, Scarlett says she's dating Duke and there's a Cobra telethon on TV!!!

Storm Shadow: Uh, look, uh ... buddy. I don't have any idea what you're trying to tell me, but I don't have time to fight right now. Destro sent me out for more eggplant to genetically modify.

Snake-Eyes: *facepalm*

Yeah, I agree. I wanted G.I. Joe cartoon last year, and would have been a little disappointed if I had gotten comics, because I primarily wanted a lighthearted piece with dumb villainy. I got a Yuletide Madness gift later that perfectly fit with what I wanted, so I was happy! But the point is, the comics would not really have lent themselves to what I requested, so I would have felt bad for someone who went in primarily knowing the comics, and having to write something that fit even slightly with what I had requested. So, yes! I hope they change it following your request!
