*howl of frustration*
Sep. 8th, 2010 12:24 amAs gamers may have already heard, today is the day the last DLC for Dragon Age: Origins is being released. While I'm not expecting a great epic for the princely sum of $7, I am looking forward to seeing Morrigan again and giving my Grey Warden a proper farewell. I was planning to stay up until whatever ungodly hour Australian time it's released so I can start the download and play tomorrow.
Only I cannot buy it. You have to buy points in order to get downloadable content. I have bought the points, I have a receipt from PayPal and my purchase history claims that the transaction went through. But my account has no points in it!
Customer support have not-so-helpfully informed me that it can take up to forty-eight hours for purchases to be processed and I should hurry up and wait. I cleared my schedule tomorrow specifically so I could finish the game without any interruptions! And I have stuff to do on Thursday/Friday/Saturday!
*bangs head on desk*

Date: 2010-09-13 01:12 pm (UTC)I got a message from Marcus about getting a lift with him but we'd need to put our stuff in our laps and I'm not too thrilled with that idea.
Lisa posted on the boards about catching the train from Southern Cross to Riddels Creek and then getting a lift. It actually sounds pretty doable. The train ride is only 50 minutes long and is something like 15 dollars return. The main limit there is however much you're carrying.
Hope to hear back soon!

Date: 2010-09-13 01:59 pm (UTC)That does seem like the best plan - I took the train last time, actually, and it was fine. And while I won't be carrying that much, I don't think it will fit in my lap!

Date: 2010-09-13 03:51 pm (UTC)It looks like we'll be helping with the clean up and taking the 3:38 back from Riddles Creek. Which is cool. ^^
Yeah. I might end up bringing my big wheely bag this weekend. If I've got to drag the thing then I won't need to worry too much about fitting it in someone's car!

Date: 2010-09-15 09:22 am (UTC)I say we aim for the 5:00, and then if something goes horribly wrong and we miss the train (not that this has ever happened to me before ...) we have a back-up plan.

This is a good plan! Oh, and btw, can I borrow your prop rats?

Date: 2010-09-15 01:08 pm (UTC)Meet at like 4-4:30? It might be a bit early to think about dinner but we could grab something that'll either keep or can be heated at camp.
Sure! Brown, black, white or all three?

Date: 2010-09-16 02:33 pm (UTC)How about around 4:15 near the Vline ticket counter at Southern Cross? And I agree that it would be a good idea to bring food. (I bought a large packet of assorted Arnott's to share with everyone over some steampunk-appropriate tea during the weekend.)

Definitely white for Dr. Knox's laboratory mice. Throw in the others if you have room left over, though, as you never know when she might need to dissect a wild rat.
