Pick five of your favourite shows, in no particular order, before you read the questions below, then answer them!

1. Babylon 5
2. House
3. Doctor Who
4. Justice League (Unlimited)
5. due South

01. Who's your favourite character in 2?

It's hard for me to choose, but I think House himself just edges out Foreman. Foreman is still the prettiest, though.

02. Who's your least favourite character in 1?

Now this one is easy: Lorien. A complete waste of screen time who undermines the message of the episodes he appears in and could have been done away with in favour of more Kosh.

03. What's your favourite episode of 4?

If I have to pick just one, I think I'd have to go with Double Date. Question/Huntress OTP!

04. What's your favourite season of 5?

The second - the show had really found its groove by then, and Vecchio is my favourite Ray.

05. Who is your favourite ship in 3?

Four/Romana.

06. Who is your antiship in 2?

I could say House/Everyone since I think the chances of him having a stable, healthy relationship with anybody are slim to none. However, I often find dysfunctional relationships interesting, and I've got nothing against House/Wilson or House/Cuddy as long as it's not portrayed in a Happy Fluffy Bunnies way. House/Chase is the 'ship that confuses me most, but I don't really object to it. I mean, whatever floats you boat.

07. How long have you watched 1?

Since ... 2003, I'm pretty sure. I could track down the exact date in my journal if I could be bothered.

08. How did you become interested in 3?

There's a bit of a story there. As I child, I was so horribly scarred by seeing part of The Seeds of Doom that I refused to watch the show for years, and would flee the room if I so much as heard the theme music start. Just as I was getting old enough to recover from the trauma, the ABC stopped showing repeats regularly. I saw the TV movie in 1996 (yes, that was the first Doctor Who I ever watched properly) and An Unearthly Child when it was given an anniversary screening. I thought the show looked interesting, but didn't get a chance to watch more until the ABC started repeating the whole thing from the beginning in 2004 in honour of the new series being commissioned. Since then I've seen every episode the BBC didn't set on fire, listened to most of the audios and read eighty-six of the tie-in books. I may have taken twenty years to fall in love, but I've made up for lost time :).

09. Who's your favourite actor/actress in 4?

I started watching Justice League because I happened to switch it on one day and thought 'hey, that's Jeffrey Combs! And he seems to be playing that guy Rorschach is based on.' The guest cast is generally talented and amazing, but my favourite regular is Kevin Conroy, my favourite Batman of all time. (Honourable mention to the wonderful Clancy Brown as Lex Luthor. If he was in the show more than once, the grand prize would definitely go to Mark Hamill's perfect portrayal of the Joker.)

10. Which do you prefer: Show 1, 2 or 5?

Fond as I am of House and due South, I have to go with Babylon 5 here.

11. Which show have you seen more episodes of, 1 or 3?

As noted above, I've seen every episode of Doctor Who that still exists - there's way more of it than Babylon 5 however you count.

12. If you could be anyone from 4, who would you be?

Wonder Woman!

13. How would you kill off your favourite character in 1?

Given that my two favourite characters die in each other's arms in a tremendously moving act of love (Londo's love for Centauri Prime and G'Kar's love for Londo) I don't think I can top canon here.

14. Give a random quote from 1?

"But in purple, I'm stunning!"

15. Which character from 5 would be a good guest star on 2?

... oh dear. Benton Fraser and Gregory House in the same room does not seem like it would lead to hugs and puppies. House would become even more cruel and sarcastic when faced with Fraser's unbelievable levels of politeness and decency. This would be hugely entertaining for the audience and drive anyone interacting with them nuts.

16. Would a 3/4 crossover work?

Doctor Who crosses over successfully with just about anything, so there'd certainly be a way. Nine or Ten could certainly bond with Martian Manhunter over the whole 'last of species' deal.

17. Pair 2 characters in 1 that would make an unlikely but strangely okay couple.

Have I mentioned my fondness for G'Kar/King Arthur lately? One of these days, I am going to finish that story.

18. Has 5 inspired you in any way?

Other than to write fanfic? Not really.

19. Overall, which show has a better cast, 2 or 4?

This is really comparing apples and ... animated apples. Voice acting in a cartoon about superheroes is a very different job to being in a serious medical procedural! I think Hugh Laurie's central performance tips the balance, but it's not really a sensible contest.

20. Which has better theme music, 3 or 5?

The Doctor Who theme music may be the best in the universe, so due South's perfectly lovely theme cannot really compete.
