Dear Yule Goat ...

First of all, I hope your response to my requests was joyful flailing instead of terror! I am lucky to have an assignment I anticipate really enjoying this year, I hope you find my prompts inspriring. Anyway, some more details below the cut in case you're wondering about my general likes/dislikes or stuck for inspiration ...
Stuff I Hate
- character bashing. Even of characters I don't like myself.
- sexual relationships with a major power imbalance or other serious issues portrayed in a happy, fluffy way.
- animal harm. This is a serious squick of mine. I cannot imagine how it might come up, but please do not have bad things happen to animals in your story.
... and really, that's about it.
Stuff I Love
- in alphabetical order: gen, het and slash. Equally.
- character stuff. Plot is gravy as far as I'm concerned; I'm here for more of the people I love.
- you, for volunteering to write in one of these fandoms!
If you have poked around my lj, please rest assured that it is not necessary for your story to include tentacles and/or giant robots in order to make me happy.
Baldur's Gate
First things first: I love Anomen Delryn. I realise that this is a bit of a minority opinion in fandom, so I'm just reiterating *g*. My first Charname forwent godhood to marry him. Not that you can't have Anomen act like a jerk in your story - he totally is a jerk! - but please do not drop any anvils on him.
Other than that, I just want to reiterate what I said in my request. As long as at least one of the characters I mentioned turns up, you cannot go wrong here. Het, slash, gen is all good with me. You could write about the party saving Faerun, or how they do their laundry on the road. (Or both.) And regardless of what the rules may technically say, you do not need to include all four of them unless the mood strikes you.
Mike Carey - Felix Castor series
Essentially, I love Fix, I love Juliet, I love the way they play of each other. I was slightly disappointed that, after the jaw-dropper ending of The Devil You Know the next book opens with Juliet set up on her own as an excorcist. I would love know hear more about what happened in the gap.
On the other hand, anything that has the two of them together would be good with me. (Please don't break up Juliet and Sue, though. They make a weirdly adorable couple.) Maybe they could hunt something dangerous together, if you require a plot idea.
The Mrs. Bradley Mysteries
Mrs. Bradley/George for the win! I'm perfectly happy with something genish, but the relationship between the two of them is my favourite part of the show. Murder mysteries are fabulous, but heaven knows I can't plot to save my life, so I'm not going to hold it against you if you don't want to write one.
The Mysterious Cities of Gold
If we matched on this request: congratulations, you are the only person other than me to sign up for this fandom this Yuletide. Anyway, like my request said, I just want Mendoza to be in the story. He could read the phone book and I would be entertained. (Except they don't have telephone books in his era, but whatever.)
Gen-type interaction with any or all of the kids would be great, but if you don't want to take it in that direction I really won't mind. You could tell me about what Mendoza used to get up to before he met Esteban, or what he did after he parted ways with the children.
Also, I love the Golden Condor. I totally would have listed it as a character if it wasn't inanimate, so bonus points for including it somehow.
