Transformers Animated: Autoboot Camp
Jun. 5th, 2008 01:44 pmHave not been around much. Do not expect to be around much for a while. But ...
Oh, wow, this just keeps getting better. I think it's starting to surpass Beast Wars as Best Transformers Show That Is Actually Good - as opposed to G1, which reigns supreme as Best Transformers Show That Is Total Crack. I loved the insights into Autobot culture, and as in G1 canon your name seems to be something that you either give yourself when you come online, or that someone forces upon you in training. Wonder what they called themselves pre-boot camp?
I admit they had me going with Wasp - I was honestly puzzled that his personality bore no relation to the original, right up until that glorious moment at the end where he speaks in the present for the first time *g*. Now I have a bad, bad feeling about what Autobot prisons are like, if that's what it did to Waspinator.
Also: Shockwave! Glee! I almost thought it was Ironhide, on the grounds that it's always the guy you least suspect, until Longarm started getting all buddy-buddy with Bumblebee. Even then, I did not catch on to his alter ego. Also: Bulkhead is made of love.
I also enjoyed the hell out of Society of Ultimate Villainy, if only because Professor Princess cracks me the hell up and I <3 Swindle. I want to see some Lockdown/Swindle, stat.
