I watched this last night, but as it was 1:45 when I finished I decided to go to bed rather than post *g*.
Ha! I knew Eden was up to no good! Makes a lot of sense that she'd be working for ... well, whatever organization it is that Mr. Bennett works for. He is the best and worst of daddies here, lying to his daughter about her biological origins in order to give her some answers.
(And to stop her looking for the real truth. One of the few things I am spoiled about is Claire's paternity - it was impossible to entirely avoid the debate about incest in regard to her and her long-lost Uncle Peter that went on around lj.)
One of my favourite things about this episode is the title. Most obviously it refers to Niki's storyline and both Jessica and D.L. Hawkins. But it's also about Hiro and Ando.
Hiro needs Ando on both a practical and emotional level. He's the one who notices that things are about to turn ugly and physically drags Hiro into the bathroom during the poker game. (The reactions of the other players cracked me the hell up.) He's also the one who makes Hiro feel better after he's failed to save everyone from Jessica, by knowing exactly what to say. Hiro tells Ando at the beginning that this is their quest, that Ando doesn't need powers in order to be a hero, and he's so right. Awwwwwwww. It all makes me worry about Grim Future Hiro and what has happened to Ando in the Grim Future.
Elsewhere, we get to meet D.L. - I knew what his powers would be the moment he told his son he 'walked out' of prison *g*. (I hope that one day when Hiro meets D.L., his reaction is 'OMG! Kitty Pride!') I can't blame the guy for taking Micah and running under the circumstances.
The problem with Niki's story is that she's spent six episodes lurching from one disaster to another, being pushed around by everyone including her own evil twin. Maybe this is going somewhere, but it's hard to engage with her right now. At least the other characters are choosing directions for themselves.

And yes to everything you said about Hiro.
