Just about the last we ever see of Roger Delgado, and if that's not a cause for sadness I don't know what is. Too many people who worked on Doctor Who have died before their time, but this is one of the few deaths to have a material effect on the show itself. In the case of Ian Marter or Graham Williams I'm saddened by the loss of life, but Delgado's death also deprived us of the planned grand finale for his character. Despite all the Master stories I've enjoyed since, there are times I think I'd trade even John Simm for The Final Game.
