As of the second episode of Season Two (as far as I've got) there are FOUR clear cases of guys being shoved into refrigerators. It's like being in the Mirror Universe or something.
I was happy at the end when family love was revealed to be potentially True Love too.
Yes, that was my favourite plot twist all season. (And it inspired all sorts of thoughts about how this True Love thing actually works, which I should post about some time.)
I had made the parallel with American Gothic, but mainly to be annoyed by the fact than in the Once Upon a Time, biological parents are the only good ones.
Yeah, that is annoying. I'm hoping that, given we've seen some terrible biological parents, the show will eventually give some examples of non-terrible adoptive and step-parents. (I guess Geppetto sort of counts, but making yourself a kid out a magic tree isn't exactly a standard method of adoption.)
