Have purchased the fifth season of Spooks on DVD now that it has been released here at last, and have stopped part way through the third episode to say -
- hooray! Harry asked Ruth to dinner! And Ruth said yes! In a charmingly awkward conversation complete with Charlie Chaplin references. Awwwwwwwwww. After all these years, I thought they'd never get anywhere. As I know Ruth is leaving in a few episodes time (*howl of sorrow*) I know they can't be happy together for long, but at least they've finally ADMITTED SOMETHING IS GOING ON. Thank goodness for Juliet - I thought she might have to drag herself from her sick bed and beat them both with the clue stick.
In other news, I am in mourning for Colin :-(. Waaah! He has been there ever since day one, doing clever things and hanging with Malcolm! Proof that nobody on this show is safe. I have decided that I officially don't care how silly the plots are, provided they can still get me attached to the characters like this. As I rather like Ros already, this is not going to be a problem for the foreseeable future.
ETA: Argh! Ruth! Don't do that! Harry and I are both making sad faces :(. I completely understand not wanting your co-workers to laugh at you, but since the entire office is now assuming that you're sleeping with the boss, you might as well actually do it.
