I sometimes think that's the most frustrating thing of all about Heroes, that it does so many things right with CoC, and incorporating diversity more generally, but then sometimes it's so boneheaded about it! Although it does help show how difficult it is to really handle these issues well; there are so many different things you need to get right *g*.

Very true - I would give them a 10/10 for overall effort, if not always top marks for execution *g*. I figure the more TV makes an effort and these things, even when it screws up in stupid ways, the better things will be in the long run.
