Not only did I get my copy of Pokemon White early, I arrived home to find out that all the love interests in Dragon Age II are confirmed bisexual. Now my gay and lesbian characters will actually have a choice about who they romance. Truly, there is a good reason I love BioWare.

They confirmed it? I try not to read spoilers, so the Dragon Age community has been pretty much defunct for me for weeks now, but that's extremely yay! I'd heard rumblings about it from my brother who was talking about a post by David Gaider months ago, about that it is optional to have a romance at all and it would be silly to limit the possibilities in a game that is all about possibilities and choices just because it might offend some hypothetical bigot. I CAN HAS CHOICES!

Also, in the wait to release, I've been replaying the original game with the Equal Love mod and am in constant "aww, you guys" mode over my mage and Alistair :D

BioWare haven't stated anything - they never confirmed Zevran and Leliana before release, either - but there are review copies and live streams around. I'm trying to avoid most of the spoilers myself, but I was happy to know this one *g*.

Yeah, that was the first thing that made me think it might be true. Apparently the telemetry from DAO also showed that the same-sex romances were way more popular than they'd anticipated, so it makes sense to give people the option.

Naturally there are a few homophobic twits on the forums complaining that David Gaider and BioWare have a 'gay agenda' but I am delighted to report that they're being shouted down by everyone else. Even players who have no intention of using those options mostly seem pleased that now everyone gets a choice of love interest.

Due to a shift swap by my friendly neighbourhood EB Games clerk, I couldn't actually get my hands on the GLORIOUS GLORIOUS PRIZE until this morning. (Possibly just as well - I might have had a breakdown trying to kill the first ogre boss on Nightmare at two in the morning.)

I have had the game for a bit over twelve hours and have spent *mumbledy* hours running around Kirkwall. So far I am enjoying myself very much!

Amazingly, I have not only remembered that it's Friday, but even closed the game for long enough to take a shower, put on clothes and generally prepare myself for the outside world.

But I am bringing my Pokemon with me.
