I know I'm a little late (Totally terrible at checking DW) but I love all dorky fandom tropes! This is a pretty good spread of them too. Allow me to flail at you about fic tropes ^^
snowed in: Does this specifically have to be about snow? If they're in space they could get locked down due to cosmic rays or something?
au: all-human: Yeah, a lot of fic just seem to use HumanAU to force all the characters to go to High School or work in a coffee shop or something. Which are their own tropes really, HumanAU isn't usually the main trope of a work.
au: steampunk: Ooo. So many choices! I'm pretty sure that almost every fandom could work a steam AU. I'm picturing the Babylonian 5 Diplomatic Airship Voyage, all the strange diplomats from all the techocracys/magicocracys/theocracys meeting over high teas and grand balls.
fusion: X-Men: First Class meets Tiger & Bunny. Eeeeee~! The most important question is who is sponsored by what companies? XP
rivals to lovers: This is another pretty broad one, I'm pretty sure you could stick a pin in 50% of slash fics and come up with this one.
alpha / beta / omega: I've managed to avoid this one, I think by bailing out of the Supernatural fandom at the right time and not picking up Teen Wolf or Sherlock. I'm all for D/S dynamics but having it kinda forced on everyone skeezes me out.
locked in: Hmm, so I guess that snowed in does have to be snowed in. It's a bit of a double up though. You could find and replace your snowed in fic and probably make it passable for locked in. XP
