Sarah Jane Smith, Dwarfer: Yay or Nay?

Today I am plagued by a burning question: would Sarah Jane Smith watch
Red Dwarf? On the one hand, it might be a bit laddish for her. On the
other, you'd think it would be a bit laddish for me, and yet I love
it. And unlike serious science fiction, she wouldn't have to spend the whole
time criticizing it for being inaccurate. Believe it or not, the answer to
this question this is actually important for a fic *g*.

To further entertain me on a rather slow day at work, what TV shows do we
think the Doctor himself watches? I bet Two loves Farscape. One day
he will get around to going back in time and changing things so it gets a
fourth season.

However, Sara Jane was "gal reporter" - nosy, intrigued by things that didn't add up, distracted by 'oh look, dangerous goo' - I don't know if she could sit still long enough to watch Anything unless she was duct taped to a chair and being tormented by ebil aleeAnn monologuing about the diabolical plans to dominate the universe and tyme. She certainly couldn't stop asking questions or yammering on and on long enough to catch Kryten's one liners and when Lister nibbled his toenails, I suspect that would have elicited a trademark 'Sara Shriek'

Understand I love SJ, I enjoy RD - I even can see some characters on TV watching TV, but not Sare Jane. She was just too darn busy and so Eager to Live and Experience and Discover "Oh. Look! A baby two headed, snapping jaws of death, fire breathing, multi-toed, scaly creature. I wonder if it's mum is nearby? I should investigate this! Hmmm, now where did the Doctor go? Oh well, he'll catch up later...."
