[quote]It would make sense, given his power, and nothing in his behaviour doesn't say "ten years old". :)
It would, in fact, explain why he is mostly using his amazing powers to steal all the Hostess cupcakes within a thousand miles *g*.
(In which case Erik was cheating on Charles before Cuba. *veg*)
Given that he snogged Charles's sister the night before the big game, I would not find this especially surprising *g*.
But then, assuming they were conceived in '62, the other possibility is that Ms. Maximoff also once met a guy who said he could read minds and kept telling her very sincerely that she was groovy. The strip club scene in First Class seems to suggest that picking up girls together is a thing they might do ...
Then, presumably the girl he's hugging would be Wanda. Mind you, having a twin who'll always be younger/older is actually a heavy brand of tragic, so in that case the Maximoffs would be doomed to angst in the movieverse as well.
The other possibility, which didn't occur to me before, is that it's Wanda whose apparent age is being altered by her powers. If growing up and being a mutant is scary, why not warp reality so she stays a child a bit longer ...? That's the kind of thing Wanda has been known to do without even knowing that she's doing it.
re: Jason, I wonder whether it'll actually be Mystique who brings him to the school and real Stryker who takes him back and carries a grudge ever after?
It could certainly happen that way in the new timeline.
(Then again: in the original timeline using that serum on Jason would have meant revealing its existence to Jason's dad, which, not so good. But no. I vote that mutants eventually develop immunity which both Charles and Hank found out, and Hank didn't try to develop it further because at that point he and Charles had gotten their act together.)
I think you're right. There are too many situations where it would be so useful they'd surely be tempted to use it on some people if it kept working forever. We already know that the cure from X3 was temporary - mutant DNA certainly is wily and persistent.
