The idea of the Master and the Doctor's daemons echoing one another makes a lot of sense to me.
I think it would have to work like that, somehow. I also have an idea for a follow-up story about the Master's other daemons ...
And Nine as a crab is perfect.
His was by far the most difficult to come up with - I had him down as some kind of dog, at first, but he 'doesn't do domestic' so it never felt quite right. It took ages for me to start thinking in the direction of hard outer shell with soft squishy centre.
