Yuletide Letter
Dear Yulegoat,
First of all, thank you for offering to write in one of my fandoms! I hope you have fun with it.
I'm a pretty easy-going fan as far as content goes. I like gen, slash, het, ampersand, bob, and whatever other genre or combination of genres you care to come up with. I love all of these fandoms and the characters I requested, so a story about whatever we've matched on will make me happy.
The only thing I really don't want to see in your story is animal harm, which is triggery for me. I cannot even imagine how that would come up in any of these requests, but bad things happening to animals is not something I want in my gift. (Oh, and as far as kinks go I am not into scat and watersports, but how likely is it that you were going to write those for Yuletide?)
I am equally comfortable with any rating from G to NC-17. I don't mind angst and/or unhappy endings. Fluff is fine. Character death is fine. Violence is fine. Sex is fine. Christmas stories are fine. I love crossovers and dig AUs. I like both zombies and BDSM. (Uh, not that I expect a story about either of those things, they just seem to be mentioned in a lot of Yuletide letters.)
The Mysterious Cities of Gold
Characters: Mendoza
As long as your story has Mendoza in it, I will be happy. (There may even be happy dancing.) Stuff you could write about includes but is not limited to:
1) Interaction with any or all of the kids during the timeframe of the show would be great. They all have different reactions to their kidnapper/travelling companion/token competent adult, and anything that explores those relationships would be interesting.
2) Where is Mendoza from, and how did he come to be sail with Magellan?
Bonus points for including the Golden Condor.
I loved this show so much as a child, and rewatching it a few years ago didn't dim my regard for at all. I am RIDICULOUSLY EXCITED about getting a new seasons next year. I don't think I have anything else to say about this request, other than that once again I adore the worldbuilding here. Ancient technology! Lost civilisations! Gold-plated everything! Did I mention the bonus points for the Golden Condor? (Obviously I don't expect it to show up if you go with the backstory angle, but I really do love that plane.) Mendoza fascinated me as a child, and he still does as an adult - I love his moral ambiguity, and the way the children change him for the better as the story goes on. The only thing I'm not super-keen on at the moment is fic set after the show, since we've got a trailer and we'll be getting more canon soon.
Dollhouse
Characters: Topher Brink, Adelle DeWitt, Priya Tsetsang, Anthony Ceccoli
Anything that has any two of these characters interacting would be fine with me, so don't feel compelled to put all four of them into one story if you don't want to. A few ideas you could run with:
1) Topher and Adelle's evolving relationship is one of the most interesting parts of the show for me. I'd be especially interested to see more of the interacting between The Hollow Men and Epitaph Two.
2) So, did Tony ever find out about Adelle and Roger? And for that matter, did Priya? And if so, how did they feel about it?
3) Anything with Tony/Priya or Victor/Sierra (insofar as one can distinguish between the two) would make me happy. Maybe future fic about how things go for them once they're able to leave the Dollhouse for the last time and rejoin the world?
While Dollhouse did get a finale, the rush to resolve everything meant that there's a lot of detail to be filled in. That's probably what I'm most interested in with this request, although I certainly wouldn't say no to backstory or something set during the timeframe of the show. Please feel free to throw in other characters if you like. Although I'm not the biggest fan of Paul Ballard, I'd be perfectly happy to see any other cast member show up to interact with the ones I selected.
The Secret World
I would be delighted to hear anything at all about this world! If you would like a more specific prompt, here are a few for the characters that you may have offered to write:
1) So, how did Arun and Monty meet, anyway? Academic conference? Vampire attack? Academic conference with vampire attack? These two are adorable and I'd love to hear more about their adventures.
2) According to the Templars, the Iele is the daughter of Alexander the Great. Given which, she must have seen a lot of things come and go in the Shadowy Forest over the centuries. She doesn't seen to be a big talker, but I'd love to know what she thinks about the Societies, recent developments in Transylvania, her illustrious father or, well, anything at all.
3) Richard Sonnac seems very nostalgic about his days as a young Templar in Transylvania. What adventures did he have there, or in the rest of the world's supernatural trouble spots, before he got stuck behind a desk?
I just want to re-iterate that I would be happy with ANYTHING AT ALL in this fandom. I provided prompts because I know most people find it easier to have something to work with, but if you happen to have another idea that has nothing to do with any of the characters I mentioned, please go ahead and write it. Anything from historical fiction about the history of the Societies to your own player character's reaction to becoming a Bee Person is fair game here.
Monster - Bigbang
This is where my neat and tidy multi-prompt format goes out the window a bit because: PLEASE JUST TELL ME WHAT IS HAPPENING!
Where these extremely attractive young men get their powers from? What are their powers, anyway? Were they grown in vats as part of an experiment to create the ultimate K-Pop band? Why do they all look as though they have their own team of stylists when they seem to be in a prison, possibly during an apocalypse? Do they run away and join the X-Men at the end of the video? If so, do they bring the stylists with them? Why is G-Dragon wearing what seems to be one sleeve of a fur coat?
So many questions. So few answers. Anything you could write based on this would have to be interesting. You can include any of the 'characters' you like. (Or, for that matter, none of them. Is there a shadowy team of scientists somewhere behind all this? Do the stylists have an opinion on the apocalypse?)
If we matched on this fandom, have fun! If we didn't and you're having second thoughts about writing whatever we did match on, this would be a great emergency fandom since it is only for minutes long. I'm not actually into Bigbang fandom (although I love every one of their videos I've seen so far - I have a friend who's a fan) and RPF is not exactly what I'm after here. However, if you want to call the characters in your story G-Dragon and T.O.P. (etc.) for identification purposes, that would be more than fine.
