Smug, sexy Charles turned out to be enormously fun to write. (Not that sulky jealous Erik wasn't.)
And Mystique/Destiny! Yay!
I am proud that I managed to get a whole femslash subplot into a story this silly! (And hoping that if fandom produces enough Mystique/Destiny the script writers will somehow absorb the idea by psychic osmosis and Irene will turn up in the next film.)
I think she and Charles would probably just play chess (real chess, not metaphorical chess) but you never know! Mystique is right to be on her guard.
You have to watch out for those slutty telepathic adopted brothers, because you never know.
