Ten minutes? That sucks. But now you've seen it. This is another of my favourites, what with the Petrelliness, and was the first episode I saw in "real time", as it were. (Original review here (http://selenak.livejournal.com/287230.html), post-episode fanfic with Peter and Nathan talking about Claire
here (http://selenak.livejournal.com/290524.html).

I was wondering when someone would turn out to have the flipside of Claire's abilities - there's always one - and how great is it that it turns out to be Mr. Linderman, they guy who considers New York getting blown up an acceptable loss?

It's a terrific twist. Also, didn't you geek out about him stealing Ozymandias' plan?

(I am dying to find out what Mama Petrelli's power is.)

We all are, but those mean, mean writers... Anyway, back then my guess was that it's precognitive/true dreams, meaning Peter absorbed them from her.

Now Nathan has to decide if he thinks its an acceptable loss. Faced with the idea of losing Peter he rejects the concept out of hand, but when he sees that his brother is more or less immortal and it may put him in the White House ... well, this is going to be an interesting dilemma for him.

Nathan Petrelli: putting me through the Londo Mollari effect for the rest of the season. Though I had an educated guess as how he'd finally decide, again due to My Darling Londo. I so felt like Vir during Dust to Dust (you know, in the scene with Lennier and Delenn) in my meta.

On a similarly geeky and sci-fi comparing note, behold the following SW-inspired discussion after this episode was broadcast between me and [livejournal.com profile] cadesama, here (http://cadesama.livejournal.com/165046.html).

Still in Petrelliland, everyone takes turns at cradling Peter's lifeless body until Claire plays the prince from Snow White and brings him back to life.

Have to love the continuity: Claire knew because of the twig in her head in episode 3, of course, but nobody else did, so this made utter sense.

Also, both the cradling and the later "I don't know who I'd be without you" makes me into a puddle of emotional goo each time.

I wonder if he is in the Oval Office to eat Nathan's brain in the future? Loved the fact that Sylar's painting style is completely different to Isaac's, incidentally.

....

Contacting PrimaTech probably wasn't the best idea he's ever had, either, but I can see how he felt he had to under the circumstances.

It's not like he had many options. But he's such a villain magnet...

Speaking of Primatech, Mr. Bennet proves how cool he is by breaking himself out of jail with just his thoughts, plus a little help from Matt and Ted.

A priceless trio, and Mr. Bennet is the coolest. That's how prison breaks should be done, Blake and Avon; you should take notes.
