I remember a marvellous episode from the early 70s when the Master, being held in captivity by UNIT, was seen watching The Clangers. He seemed to think that the Clangers were genuine aliens, which perhaps wasn't very probable.

I also recall the Master, on a spaceship in a fleet that was about to invade Earth, reading a copy of "War of the Worlds".
