I hear that the Premieres show at VividCon has now finished, which means both of these have premiered and I am safe to post them. Squee!

(Uh, well, I think both of them have premiered. I never actually manged to find out where they were being screened, assuming they were screened. I am a confused newbie when it comes to sending vids to cons.)

Oh, wow, a Crusade vid! I think that's the very first vid of that show I've encountered so far.

Frell, only sound. Must go codec hunting first, it seems!

I'm actually just watching s1 of Alias now so you have the honour of making the first Alias vid that I actually understood some of the canon for. :)

And Crusade! Loved the show and the characters and this vid really made me remember that. :)

I know practically nothing about Alias, but I watched the "American Tune" vid because I love the song, and wanted to tell you that I think it's lovely -- I'm struck by the intensity of the emotion that comes through, even when I don't have a context for most of the clips.

Hey there. :-) I found my way over here via your comment in [livejournal.com profile] butterfly's journal. Just in case I don't manage to finish writing up thoughts about various vids to post in public places, I wanted to make sure that I told you how much I enjoyed your vids at the con. Holy Grail is a lovely, accessible vid for someone who has never seen (or heard of) the show. I love the shift where the "grail" goes from being things they are trying to reach/achieve to the people themselves, and this vid just gave me a good feeling about the characters. It made me want to know more.

American Tune I liked even more. I really thought the song was an interesting and effective choice for Jack, and I loved how you focused on the ups and downs of his life, and always brought him back to Sydney. Really lovely! I watched this a number of times before the con, in the disk testing process, and every time, it gave me a wonderful, warm feeling and made me want to watch my episodes again. Thanks so much for making it!

Thanks for the reciprocal feedback! *g* And also for the scoop on Crusade. I never watched B5, either, so I didn't even realize it had a spin-off. Learn something new every day. :-)

I was recced over here by [livejournal.com profile] killabeez and wow, do I love American Tune. It is such a fitting tune for Jack, and I loved what you did with him and all the important people in his life, showing both the good and the bad times. It shows too, what an amazing actor Victor Garber is; he does so much with his small expressions.

Specific things I liked: There's a line about being weary and you showed him with his drink and he just looked so weary. And then there was the sweetness of the ending. I got all shmoopy-feeling. *sigh* I just adore it.

A Crusade vid! A Crusade vid! Damn, that was awesome. I miss that show. And yeah, I thought it was neat in the switch from searching-for-X to searching-within, sort of (I am illiterate when it comes to vid commentary). And I loved the Alias Spydaddy vid, too! Both of these were really, really good.

As do we all. (Well, all twelve people who've heard of it ...)

((waves Crusade flag proudly))

Man, I loved Galen and Dureena Nafil (sp?). They were my favorites.

I only now had the chance of actually watching your Crusade vid and can I just say that I absolutely loved it. First of all, a Crusade vid! A vid about Crusade! That alone had me jumping for joy.

And then I actually watched it and found that not only was it a Crusade vid, but it was a really good Crusade vid. With Eilerson in it. The editing was great, the song choice fit wonderfully to the theme of the vid, and... I'm just running out of words here. Loved it, loved it, loved it.

[livejournal.com profile] nolivingman rec'd the Alias vid, and I'm glad I came to look because it's just marvelous. "American Tune" is one of my favorite songs, and it's so perfect for SpyFamily. Thank you!

here via [livejournal.com profile] ruuger's poll on sci-fi, and can I just say OH MY GOD SOMEONE ELSE LIKED CRUSADE BESIDES ME.

Also, I love how you capture the character beats of the crew so well, from Max's ........ well, Max-ness, the way he just animates himself in everything he does, to Dureena's loneliness and spark, the way Galen's suddenness and snarking cover up his own grief and Gideon's wearied contentment with everything and LOCHLEY, you have LOCHLEY in the vid, do you know how hard it is to find B5 fans who care about Lochley, christ.

I wish we'd gotten to see how JMS would have ended CRUSADE. I really do. :(

I also watched American Tune, but I only watched like three episodes of ALIAS ever, so I can't speak to it too well; I do know it's excellently crafted and very, very good at making me kind of cry for Jack Bristow even if I know next to nothing about him besides "he's Sydney's dad, his wife is a double agent, didn't he like, fake his death once?"

So there's that too.

I love American Tune, and every time I listen to the Concert in Central Park, I find myself wishing there were a fanvid for it - only I couldn't think of a fandom that fit it just perfectly. Well, you've hit the nail on the head.

Ad for Holy Grail? I am sufficiently pimped to start seeking out this series. Excellent work. :)
